One of the most bankable actors of M-Town, Prithviraj Sukumaran is doling out happy vibes in his latest picture. The actor, who has recently stepped into filmmaking with ‘Lucifer’, seems to be a bit more joyous these days. In his latest social media post, Prithviraj Sukumaran is seen showing off his million-dollar smile and there’s a reason behind that smile. In the picture, Prithviraj Sukumaran is accompanied by actor-scenarist Murali Gopi, the same person who has crafted the script for ‘Lucifer’. And Murali is the one because of whom there’s a twinkle in Prithviraj’s eyes! The picture was taken right after the duo met up at the writer’s home to discuss the script of the movie’s sequel. ‘Empuraan’, the sequel to ‘Lucifer’, is currently under pre-production. Prithviraj looks excited as he was awestruck hearing about the canvas of ‘Empuraan’ from the scriptwriter.
Posting the picture, Prithviraj wrote, “At the writer’s den! My eyes are so wide coz I’m thinking how in the world am I going to shoot what he’s just told me! 👀 #L2.”
Released last year, 'Lucifer' emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in M-Town.
The upcoming movie, 'Empuraan', will see actor Mohanlal essaying the lead. We also hear that Prithviraj, who appeared in a cameo in its prequel, will have more screen space in the upcoming movie. The movie will be expensive than its sequel and the makers are planning a trilogy. Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad cinemas will be bankrolling the project. And as per the sources, ‘Empuraan’ will go on floors by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj was last seen in ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’. The movie, which was released a week ago, is receiving a positive response and is running successfully in the cinemas.

It’s a film that is generating a buzz from the get go, particularly with the title Lalitham Sundaram launched by superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal recently. And why not? It’s a Manju Warrier-starrer directed by her brother, Madhu Wariar.
“It’s a simple, feel-good family entertainer,” said the debut director, adding that the film is set over five days of the Christmas season. The film will be shot in Kochi, Peermade, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Manju Warrier plays a successful entrepreneur, while Biju Menon runs an event management company. It is not revealed whether they play a couple. The film, scripted by Pramod Mohan with music by Bijibal, also features Dileesh Pothen, Saiju Kurup, Zarina Wahab who is returning to Malayalam after over two years and Deepti Sati. The shoot is scheduled to start in mid-February.
“I have always wanted to direct. It’s just that things have only fallen into place now. I’ve been doing the background work on this film for nearly 3.5 years. I’m really excited and confident about starting work on the film. I have a good team and the artistes are like family, so I feel we will have a happy mood on the sets,” says Madhu, who has assited Deepu Karunakaran in Crazy Gopalan. Manju Warrier is currently shooting for The Priest, her first film with Mammootty, and Chathur Mukham with Sunny Wayne. She is also in the Mohanlal-Priyardarshan periodical epic Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.
The shoot of director Jeethu Joseph's upcoming thriller ‘Ram’ is progressing at a brisk pace. Mohanlal and Trisha play the lead roles in the film, along with 'Vimaanam' movie fame Durga Krishna in a pivotal role. The latest is that Durga will be appearing as Trisha's sister in the flick. Reportedly, the pretty actress will have good screentime with the lead pair.
Durga, who is a self-confessed fan of Mohanlal, has already shared a few pictures from the movie location. Durga has earlier done notable roles in films such as 'Vimanam', ‘Pretham 2’ and ‘Love Action Drama’.
'Ram' marks the second collaboration of Jeethu Joseph with Mohanlal after the superhit 'Drishyam'. Trisha, who plays the female lead, has also joined the set. The actress will appear in the role of a wife and doctor. It is to be noted that, 'Ram' is her second Malayalam movie after 'Hey Jude' (2019), directed by Shyama Prasad. Trisha had recently shared a picture from the set.
Indrajith Sukumaran and Bollywood actor Adil Hussain will also be seen in pivotal roles. The movie is made of a whopping budget and will be shot in various countries including Egypt, London and Istanbul apart from Kerala. Produced by Ramesh P Pillai and Sudhan S Pillai under the banner of Abhishek Films, 'Ram' is set to hit the theatres October this year.
Manju Warrier's brother and actor Madhu is all set to step into his maiden directorial venture. As announced earlier, Madhu will be directing Manju Warrier and Biju Menon for the movie and Mohanlal and Mammootty have now officially launched the title poster of the movie. Titled 'Lalitham Sundharam', the movie will start rolling soon. Sharing the title poster, Mohanlal and Mammootty gave their blessings to the project.
Through 'Lalitha Sundharam', Manju Warrier and Biju Menon will be collaborating again after a gap of two decades. As the duo has worked together for movies like 'Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakaalathu,' 'Innalakalilllathe,' 'Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu' earlier, the M-Town audience is pretty excited about the upcoming project. Also, Madhu directing his sister - ‘The Lady superstar of Mollywood’ is an exciting part of the movie.
Mollywood audience wouldn’t have waited this long for a director’s movie as they are now doing for Anwar Rasheed’s directorial ‘Trance’. It has been around eight long years since the movie-goers have enjoyed a full-length feature film from filmmaker Anwar Rasheed. After creating enough buzz for so many years, ‘Trance’ has finally locked its release dates now. The movie will reach the cinemas on Valentine’s Day. And with only 10 days left, the makers have released yet another poster from the movie. Featuring Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim, the enthralling poster makes the wait for the movie even harder. Fahadh Faasil is seen in his motivational trainer avatar, while Nazriya Nazim seems to be dancing to some music.
Starring Fahadh Fassil, the movie will also see Tamil director Gautham Vasudev Menon, actors Soubin Shahir, Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Dileesh Pothan, Sreenath Bhasi, Jinu Joseph, Srindaa, Arjun Ashokan and Joju George handling some of the major roles. Nazriya Nazim will play the leading lady in the movie. Meanwhile, the movie will also mark the first collaboration of real-life couple Fahadh and Nazriya post marriage. Also, the latest song released by the team suggests that Fahadh will be essaying the role of a motivational trainer Viju Prasad in the movie.
